Working from home is a reality for a growing number of people, and a kitchen table or a spare bedroom isn't always the right answer. Mast Mini-Barns installs backyard office and studio spaces designed to function as real, dedicated work environments. Separate from the house. Quiet. Yours.
Our Klassic Studio is the building we most often recommend for this purpose. It's purpose-built for use as a workspace, and its standard feature set reflects that.
The Klassic Studio is a Premium Series structure with a lean-to style roofline. It’s taller in front and lower in back, creating a distinctive silhouette. This design maximizes usable wall height inside. Front wall heights run from 9 feet up to 10’6” depending on the width of the building. The back wall is 7’4”.
Standard features on every Klassic Studio include:
Four 24x36 windows - generous natural light across the full length of the building
24x10 transom windows above the doors, running the length of the structure
One 6-foot Deluxe double door
A metal roof with 8-inch overhangs
Your choice of painted or stained LP SmartSide, painted DuraTemp, or Alside vinyl board-and-batten siding in a range of colors
Klassic Studio sheds are available in sizes from 10x10 up to 12x36. Painted LP SmartSide pricing starts at $5,459 for a 10x10 and reaches $13,537 for a 12x36.
What Makes It Work as an Office
The window package on the Klassic Studio is designed for a workspace, not a storage shed. Four large windows plus full-length transom windows create the kind of natural light that makes a room feel like a room - not a converted outbuilding. The taller ceiling on the front wall adds to that sense of space.
The metal roof is a practical choice for a structure that you’ll be working in year-round. It handles snow load cleanly, it’s low-maintenance, and it doesn’t develop the moisture and ventilation issues that shingles can over time in a tightly enclosed building.
Finishing Your Studio
The Klassic Studio is delivered as a shell. Insulation, interior wall finishing, electrical, HVAC, and flooring are typically handled by the customer after delivery. If you need guidance on what typically goes into finishing a backyard studio for year-round use in western Pennsylvania, we’re happy to share what we know from experience.
Placement
The Klassic Studio is a portable building and requires a solid, level surface. A concrete slab is the best base for a year-round workspace. It provides a flat, stable foundation and simplifies any future electrical conduit or HVAC installation. A well-prepared gravel pad is an acceptable alternative.
Permits may be required depending on your Township or Borough. We provide engineered drawings free of charge when needed.
