The gambrel roofline creates more usable interior volume than a standard gable roof at the same wall height, and the look of a proper barn-style building adds something to a property that a basic utility shed simply doesn't.

Every Dutch Barn we build is a Premium Series structure. That means tighter framing, a double top plate, and siding that’s built to handle western Pennsylvania weather for decades.

High Barn
The High Barn is a traditional gambrel-roof structure with 6-foot walls and a 10-foot overall height. It’s available in painted or stained LP SmartSide, painted DuraTemp, or vinyl siding in a range of stocked colors.
Standard painted features include a set of crossbuck-style double doors on the gable end, your choice of stocked paint colors, and your choice of architectural shingle color. The vinyl version swaps the painted doors for a steel roll-up door and offers a full selection of vinyl siding and trim colors.
High Barn sizing runs from 8x8 up to 16x48. Painted LP SmartSide pricing starts at $3,364 for an 8x8 and reaches $15,859 for a 16x48.
Dutch Barn
The Dutch Barn shares the gambrel roofline with the High Barn but adds standard windows, two 21x27 windows with screens and shutters, and offers door placement on either the eave or gable end. Wall height is 6’6”. It’s a more feature-complete standard build, and its exterior detailing gives it a more finished residential look.
Dutch Barn sizing also runs from 8x8 up to 16x48. Painted LP SmartSide pricing starts at $3,535 for an 8x8. Vinyl siding is available across all sizes.
Both models are eligible for the Deluxe Package upgrade which adds deluxe doors with transom windows, 6-inch overhangs with 6-inch fascia, window trim, corner and door trim, and half-round vents for 10% added to the base price.
Built to Engineer Spec
If your Township or Borough requires construction to a specific snow load rating, we can build both the High Barn and Dutch Barn to 60- or 70-pound snow load specifications. Engineered drawings are available free of charge when needed for permit purposes.
